Delivery Method
All items are sent by courier and require a signature upon delivery. Items will only be dispatched to business addresses.

Dispatch Timescales
The cut-off for Next Business Day delivery is 15:30. 'Next Business Day' orders placed after 15:30 will be dispatched the next business day for delivery on the following business day.

Orders are not dispatched or delivered at the weekend or on bank holidays.
All items are held in stock as standard, but we run out occasionally if there is unexpectedly high demand. If we are out of stock of a particular item we will notify you asap by email.

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

You can pay by Credit/Debit Card by entering your credit/debit card details online using secure servers during checkout. The checkout process will provide you with full instructions as you go along.

When you have completed the checkout you should receive an email confirmation of order, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Credit Card Security
If you have chosen to pay online then at the payment stage of the checkout process you will be connected to the Secure Payment Servers at Secure Trading or PROTX, two of the largest independent payment gateways in the UK. For maximum security your card details are entered and processed directly by these payment providers on their secure servers. We do not have access to your card details, and at no time are they stored on our systems.

If your card is part of the 'Verified for Visa' or 'MasterCard SecureCode' schemes then your card provider may require you to enter your '3D Secure' password during the checkout. When this happens you are typing the information directly into your card providers site, not ours.


Suitability of Goods
Goods are not sold on a trial basis. We do not provide advice or recomendations as to product suitablity, we simply supply standard off the shelf products to customers who know what they require and want the best prices.

We try our best to provide accurate information on our website, but errors can sometimes occur. Therefore, when purchasing hardware customers should check product suitability, compatibility and full specifications on the manufacturers website before purchasing. For media purchases customers can use the part number from their existing media to confirm they are purchasing the correct media for their tape drive.


Returns & Cancellations
Where we have supplied the wrong goods we will collect the incorrect goods, and deliver the correct goods at our own cost.

Where you have ordered the wrong goods you may return them to us at your own cost. However, we can only accept completely unused items that are returned in their original packaging. There is a 10% restocking fee on hardware, and 20% on media. If the goods have been opened or seals broken we are unable to accept the return.

In all cases you should contact us first to obtain a returns number, as goods returned without a valid returns number will be rejected.  You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us, including adequate insurance cover.

Faulty Goods
If your media/hardware is imediately faulty please contact us for replacement instructions. For hardware faults, please call the manufacturers support line to confirm the item is actually faulty and not simply mis-configured/installed.

If you media/hardware develops a fault during the warranty period they should be reported to the manufacturer for replacement or repair under the manufacturers warranty.

Privacy Policy
Tao Technologies Ltd do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than for the purposes of order fulfillment (eg. we have to tell the courier company your address!). In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
